My jaywalker scarf. Just finished and ready to be blocked, hence the curly edges. Very easy to knit, simple to follow pattern and gorgeous yarn. Overall i'm very pleased with it

My first attempt at the jaywalker scarf started last night. The pattern's very easy to remember so it's flowing very quickly and growing quite nicely. I decided to knit it with two balls of shepherd's sock rainbow alternately to stop the colours pooling so much and it seems to be working fairly well.

My just finished faceted rib socks. Obviously they need blocking as the toes are curling up like elf shoes, but overall i'm rather happy with them.

I don't make new year's resolutions, but I think next year I may have to start. And I'm going to start by promising not to get so distracted with my to knit list. I've decided that once the faceted rib socks are out of the way my next project will be a Lorna's laces Shepherd's sock rainbow jaywalker scarf, and when I actually make some progress on my Angel's Rest socks and get those done I'll definitely be casting on for my second pair of broad street mittens. My attention span for keeping up to the knitting targets I set myself is shocking, in fact all someone has to do is wave some new, fancy, pretty yarn under my nose* and I seem to lose all concept of doing things in a proper order. In short I'm a bit of a floozy when it comes to a pretty fibre.

*the latest of which is conjoined creations flat feet.

If there's one thing i like about night shifts it's the chance to do lots of knitting when it's quiet, hence being able to finish the first faceted rib sock and start the second one. After frogging the first one, sulking lots and starting it again on bigger needles. Of course what i don't like about working nights is the fact i now haven't slept in 24 hours and am feeling rather groggy.
