I have a job interview next week, obviously this is quite exciting and very very scary. I can't believe things are going so fast and I'll be qualifying in a matter of months. It's for the top secret unit that I'm currently doing placement on that I can't talk about because it's the only one in the area. Needless to say I'm very excited though, will post more after the interview when I know how it's gone.

A little bit of non knitting news for a change. This is the view from the top of digley reservoir near holmfirth where i just spent the afternoon walking.

A very brief hello from me, and a quick update. I'm onto month nine of last year's mystery blanket, halfway through a pair of Kaffe design line socks for me, just finished a week of nights and haven't been to bed yet, applied for my first nursing job, got two assignments out of the way with one to go, and I've just stopped for breath, phew! It's still quite a busy time for me, the academic work's starting to ease off a bit but there's two even more stressful things on the horizon - the prospect of qualifying as a nurse and finding a job, and planning my wedding. However at least while doing these things I can grab the odd five minutes to knit. I possibly won't be back for a week or two as this last assignment is a monster.

I haven't posted a proper update for a while now, I've been so bogged down with university and other things, and also the fact that I'll be qualifying as a nurse in six months time. And right now I just don't have the time to keep up with the blog and give the required amount of attention to my academic work - which is why readers, this blog is going on hiatus for a few months.

Except for the occasional photo update of progress with the mystery blanket I won't be updating until things at university are slightly more under control. I start a new placement on Monday, in a forensic unit similar to the last one but with higher security, and no knitting needles allowed. Something which will obviously be no fun to write about, and even less fun to read about.
